SQL Server FineBuild Version 3.2.0 Beta 1

This is a Beta version of FineBuild

This version of FineBuild has had very limited testing

This version of FineBuild introduces support for installing on a Windows 2012 Cluster (Desktop or Core version)

More features will be added to this version of FineBuild before it is released as a Stable version.

This is the stable version of FineBuild for SQL Server 2005.

A beta of FineBuild for SQL Server 2005 that includes support for Windows 2008, SQL Server Express Edition, as well as SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 and other enhancements is at Version 2.1.0.

The stable version of FineBuild for install SQL Server 2008 is at Version 2.0.0

Installation

SQL Server FineBuild Version 2.1.0 beta 3

This is a beta release of FineBuild for SQL Server V2.1, and introduces support for Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2.

The naming standard should be obvious, but for the sake of clarity:

Download SQL2005FineBuild.zip to install SQL Server 2005
Download SQL2008FineBuild.zip to install SQL Server 2008
Download SQL2008R2FineBuild.zip to install SQL Server 2008 R2

A number of minor bugs have been fixed in the SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 installs compared to the August 2.1.0 beta. Support for Windows 2008 R2 RTM and SQL Server 2008 R2 is new in this release.

Planned enhancements to V2.1.0 before it becomes the main release include:

Full support for SQL Server clustered installs
Completion of documentation for SQL Server 2005 FineBuild (all outstanding items are marked)
