Configure SQL Instance Properties

FineBuild can Configure the Properties available in SSMS for the SQL Server Instance.

The operation of the SQL Server instance is controlled by a number of properties. Some of these need to be set to obtain maximum performance and stability. The propertiies available on each of the Tabs on the SSMS Instance Properties dialogue are dealt with separately.

FineBuild Configure SQL Instance Properties

The SQL Instance Properties configuration relates to Process Id 5BD and is controlled by the parameters below:

In order to maintain compatibility with older versions of SQL FineBuild, the parameter ConfigSQLInst can also be used.

FineBuild will automatically perform Instance Properties configuration for each of the Items given above.

Manual Configure SQL Instance Properties

The following steps show what you would have to do for manual SQL Instance Properties configuration. FineBuild does all of this work for you automatically.

1) Use SQL Server Management Studio to connect to the SQL instance.
Right-click on the instance and select Properties.

Perform Instance Properties configuration for each of the tabs given above.
